// Okay, so this is a rather oddly inspired drabble O.o Basically I have been struck ill again, and when I am like this I feel that everyone else should suffer with me~ Unfortunately, the pray of this need happens to be one of my character that bares the brunt of my evilness. I do feel sorry for Tetsu slightly XD //
This was neither the time nor the place for the twenty-four year old to be making his way to the studio but the fact of the matter was that he had some very important work to be done. His Autumn/Winter line of course wouldn't design itself. It wasn't long ago that he had infact struck it large; of course the fame that he had grown up on his mother's behalf had given him a good chance to get a foot in, but the fact of the matter was that things were finally getting serious for the Asian male.
Unfortunately, he looked like he was on death's door and this was saying something considering he was normally exceptionally vain, not even allowing himself to step out of the door until he looked presentable. Today had most definitely been the only exception to that little rule. A trip to the doctor's a few days previously had diagnosed the rather groggy young man with a chest infection, so while he was working through his course of antibiotics he had agreed with his lover that no, he wouldn't leave the house and that no he wouldn't spend valuable sleeping time doing work. Unforunately...he was beginning to waste too much time. He had deadlines to work to after all and they were gradually creeping closer and closer.
Well equipped to go out in public and the cold, thin frame was wrapped in several layers consisting of shirt, jumper, coat and a scarf while eyes were hidden behind a pair of large black sunglasses. So it may not have been bright outside but he was not going to be seen outside with eyes that simply looked 'full of cold' so to speak.
As was usual on his way to his New York studio Tetsu opted for stopping in at the usual coffee shop, gloved hands running through the choppy layers of black hair that had become quite messed from the wind outside. Had he not been slightly off with the fairies chances were that he would have noticed the woman, obviously in her late fourties, that was behind him in the queue. Needless to say when she tapped on his shoulder in the midst of a coughing fit it acted as quite a shock, wondering as to why some stranger in a coffee shop was getting his attention.
Turning on his heel, shielded blue eyes swept over the woman he had known since before he could remember. "So you've finally cut your hair then, Tetsu?" Marie; she had pretty much been his mother while he was growing up considering his own was constantly away with work; at the time she had been an extremely successful catwalk and couture model so it was easy to see why she was often pulled away from her son leaving his nanny to teach him everything he knew. "It suits you, I was always telling you to have it shorter."
"Yes well this did actually happen by accident, unfortunately." That was a story for a later day but basically it involved a run-in with Morgan's daughter, a pair of scissors and his hair while he had been asleep. The woman was well aware of his current relationship status and she had been since the time when the couple had been able to make it known publicly without putting Morgan's position as Drama Teacher at the school the young male had been attending at the time, in jeopardy.
"God, you sound awful. Are you okay?" Trust her to be concerned; she had after all been the one who sat at his bedside when he had been ill as a child, dosing him up on cough medicine and wrapping him tightly in blankets that inevitably would have the boy overheating.
There was a slight wave of a hand and Tetsu inevitably shook it off. "I am fine, just a bit of a cough." He should have known that wouldn't cover his tracks; it hadn't when he was thirteen so why would it eleven years on from then? Without any warning, the woman had removed her glove and was pressing the back of her hand against the young man's forehead, a soft tutting escaping her lips.
"Come on, you are going back to bed."
"But Marie..."
"No but's, I am not having you out in this weather."
He didn't even have the chance to get his coffee when he was escorted out of the little shop and back towards his apartment; obviously not very pleased about this little interuption to his day if the look on his face was anything to go by. It seemed that in no time at all Marie was ordering him to get out of his layers and into bed while she rummaged around the kitchen, locating necessities such as tea bags, milk and soup.
"You don't have to do this..." Voice was mumbled as Tetsu had a bowl of chicken soup thrust infront of him, stirring the liquid cautiously with the spoon held between fingers, bright eyes peered over to the woman who seemed to be quite happy adorning him in an extra comforter that she had discovered in a cupboard. "Besides, don't you have anything better to do with your time?"
"Nope. I was only going to your mothers anyway."
Great...now he had no escape.
